On Friday, April 21, 2017, Tereneh Mosley led a fascinating workshop on fashion design, inspired by the Iris van Herpen exhibition at CMOA. Tereneh discussed her collaborative Idia Dega fashion line with Masai Women from Kenya and Oneida Women from NY. The students were very interested in discussing inclusive design and collaboration, and Tereneh’s process and career path. Students were also inspired by Iris van Herpen’s collaborations with scientists and technologists, and truly creative use of materials in her fashion lines. They then created their own wearable garments or accessories.
