BRENDA STUMPF STUDIOS – ASSEMBLAGE SCULPTURE – OCTOBER 2018

Students worked with artist Brenda Stumpf to assemble sculptures from odds and ends. They then marked, made patterns with colored pencils, and created openings in their base paper forms. Wood pieces were then adhered to weight the object, creating a standing sculpture. The students then glued different materials, from small metal pieces to plastic flowers onto the standing form. The last step was to coat areas with paint and cover those areas with sand while still wet.
